Manuel Chafino
Manuel Chafino García, born in Malaga in 1995, is a Spanish violist based in Aarhus.
He has graduated in Bachelor of music at "Malaga state conservatory" and Master degree of music at "The Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus", where he studied with profesor Evdokia Erchova.
As a soloist, has performed F.A Hoffmeister Viola Concerto and G.P.Telemann Viola concertos with "Málaga Conservatory orchestra" and M. Bruch's "Kol Nidrei" with the "Ensemble de Violas de Málaga"
He is second price winner of the "Málaga Crea Chamber Music Contest" with his group "River Quintet".
In Spain, he has collaborated with many professional orchestras in Andalucía like Orquesta filarmónica de Málaga, Orquesta Ciudad de Almería or Orquesta ciudad de Granada. He is currently participating in several orchestra projects with orchestras in Jylland, as they are Alborg Symfoniorkester or Sønderjylland Symfoniorkester.
