Liisa started to play the piano at the age of 10. Already two years later she won her first talent competition and was admitted to a project for especially talented young pianists at Malmö Academy of Music.

In 2010 she started her studies at the piano class for especially talented students, at Heleneholm High School in Malmö, Sweden. Here she got the opportunity to participate in an exchange project together with Conservatoire á Rayonnement Régional de Lyon in France.

She graduated from high school in 2013, that year she was also awarded the scholarships Familjen John Anderslövs stiftelse in Anderslöv, Sweden, and Mai von Rosen at the Royal Swedish Academy of Music in Stockholm, Sweden.

After high school she started her bachelor studies at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre at the piano class of Mati Mikalai. She continued her Master studies at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus, Denmark, with Søren Rastogi and Martin Qvist. In 2017 she won the 2nd prize at Odin International Youth Festival in Tallinn, Estonia, and in 2018 she received the scholarship Burlövs Kommuns Kulturstipendium in Sweden. 

Liisa has participated in OPUS-piano festival in Musikhuset Aarhus in 2018 and 2019. She has also worked as a pianist at the gymnastic club Malmöflickorna in Malmö.

Furthermore, she has participated in numerous of masterclasses, among others with Ewa Podlocka, Jens Elvekjær, Marianna Shirinyan and Irina Osipova. Since august 2020, Liisa is studying the Advanced Postgraduate Diploma-degree at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus with Søren Rastogi.
